What happens in a class? We start the class sitting quietly to focus the mind and prepare us for our practise. We next do a series of yoga postures (asanas) including standing, sitting, twists, balances, inverted and recuperative postures. The sequence of postures taught varies each class to keep the mind alert and to bring differing effects of each asana. At the end of class, you lie down and are guided in relaxation (savasana). If yoga equipment is needed to help you in a posture, we show you precisely how to use it. Individual attention is given to ensure all postures are done safely. |
